This is the very first YOUmedia Minute, a promo video that let's you know what is going on in the upcoming week. Thanks to everyone who participated in the first video!

This summer YOUmedia is offering workshops in the Chicago Public Library's brand new Innovation Lab. For one of our first projects we made vinyl stickers. Will Garza made a Howling Wolf sticker for his laptop and King Maury made a Fluttershy sticker for his water bottle.

We just released a new issue of YOULIT featuring work from YOUmedia teens Briana Matthews, Sekani Reed, Sierra Roberts, Nadine Fields, Matthew Byrd, John McNamara, Mekel Jackson, Naomi Clark, Jamal Milsapp and Ruth Harvey-Turner.

This piece was made by Kendell Marshall, a student at Chicago Bulls College Prep. Kendell drew the entire piece on the YOUmedia Smart Board in Paint. Kendell's work is currently featured in the most recent YOULIT Magazine.

Malik M., an eighth grader at YOUMedia Richard M. Daley Branch, has been a faithful participant across mediums for over a year. Keen on art, he has translated his drawing skills into graphic design, utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, and Bamboo drawing tablets. He has started to experiment with video too, even creating a series of drawing “how toʼs” and video game play guides with iMovie and YOUmediaʼs flip cameras. Though we sometimes miss him due to his intense study and swimming regiment, when heʼs able to come he is a fantastic member of the YOUmedia community!
