The Chicago Public Library's downtown Harold Washington Library Center is located at

400 S. State Street

It is accessible from the Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple train lines' "Library" stops, as well as from the Blue Line's "Dearborn and Jackson" stop and the Red Line's "State and Jackson" stop.
